Amazing place to stay!! Perfect area for visiting Grand Marais and close to stores and restaurants.We had so much fun just hanging at the house. Had fires in the house and outside. The house is very accommodating. They have everything for you to use there. We made pancakes and bacon in the morning!! Best small vacay ever. We will stay there again!!

Everything was as described. The cabin is lovely! We enjoyed it all. Perfect for two couples. Our favorite things were evenings by the wood burning fireplace, stargazing on a crystal clear night, and exploring the rocky shoreline with the spectacular lake views. It’s also very convenient to get to just about anywhere on the North Shore. As noted, no washer and dryer but we made do, this doesn’t reduce our high rating. Book it, you won’t regret it!

When you walk into Windsong, you recognize immediately that it was designed with care and attention to detail. The layout of the great room provides a sense of space and relaxation. The kitchen is one of the best equipped we have had. The bedrooms are comfortable with ample space. Then there is the Lake. Wow. Every window facing lakeside invites the eye. We had spectacular weather that included a full moon and a lunar eclipse. Best seat in the house. We didn’t use the fish house much but it is a great space at water’s edge. The art and appointments throughout the house show an eye attentive to beauty. Though the house is near Highway 61, road noise for us was negligible. The setting, the space, the easy access to everything we wanted makes this a five-star vacation rental.

After staying here multiple times we continue to be delighted with this gem of a place. We love the location and especially the boathouse. Always spotless and amazing linens.
